The electric model of GrainPro’s Solar Bubble Dryer (SBD) was tested on June 18, 2019 at the premises of Nepal Agricultural Research Council, Agricultural Engineering Division. The electric model of this SBD has a drying area of 25 sq.m. and can dry upto 0.5 ton (500 kg) grains, agricultural commodities and seeds at a time. The drying rate is 1% moisture level per every 2 hrs of drying depending upon weather conditions, humidity, etc.

The SBD electric version provides a relatively simpler and user friendly method of drying compared to solar model. It can help address the persistent problem of drying of spring rice in Nepal where the harvest season and monsoon coincides making it difficult for drying with orthodox drying methods.
